WE LOVE dachshunds

In 2000 our first Dachshund, Precious, adopted us as her new humans. We instantly fell in love with the breed and decided that we wanted to learn more. One of the things that really upset us was that the average person has access to only inferior dogs either from pet stores or worse, from puppy mills. After lots of research, sorting out the facts from the fiction and talking to some breeders, we decided to breed and develop our own bloodlines. We will not breed until 2nd or 3rd heat depending upon the maturity of the dog. It is not fair for puppies to have puppies. A lot of breeders will tell you that it is ok to breed at first heat, to this we say NO WAY JOSE!!! (the word my husband wanted to use, I will not put on my website as it is not family friendly)

Originally Located in Waukesha, WI, we soon outgrew our little house in the suburbs. After searching for 2 years we finally found Riverhills, a small nonworking farm just outside of Campbellsport, WI. Today we have 15 dogs, and we are paying them rent.

In addition to Miniature Dachshunds we also have a working apple orchard and one old yellow lab. We believe that there should always be one old big dog around a farm to keep the pups in line.

Where is Campbellsport, WI you ask? Well it is 50 Miles North of Milwaukee and 75 miles southwest of Greenbay (GO PACK GO). Click on the links for a map or contact us and we will provide directions from wherever you are.
